Oh those who did forever good
My Guardians of Childhood...

You kept me well through darkened nights
Sent me off those caring lights
When I look up you comfort me
Tis only a face I am able to see

No nightmare touched the edge of covers
For there was one to always hovers
He sends His sand to each small house
sweet dreams we find, snuck like a mouse

Back to the bed, asleep I am
A buzzing sound, a quick exam
Alas, I find my tooth is gone
yet a coin is laid like a newborn fawn

Awake to Spring, and there is hope
to colored eggs I look on slope
the pattered feet and quickened hands
baskets full, chocolate on demand

And further on the snow will fall
many decorations on our wall
yet down the chimney he will come
and bring more smiles like sounding hums

...

For those you know of who I speak
while little poems are reddened cheeks
we remember those who we hold dear
Those Guardians, forever near.

Hazah! You're a terrific writer! I love your ode to the guardians of childhood! Do you think, if I give you credit of course, I could use this in some of my ROTG projects? It just fits them so well and its so friggin beautiful! I think I'm gonna cry out of joy. (A solitary tear slips down my cheek as I reread poem)
